The density calculator provides an estimated class based strictly on the density of the freight as provided by its dimensions. Actual freight classification is based on multiple factors including density, stowability, handling and liability. Kelley Logistics, LLC utilizes the NMFC (National Motor Freight Classification) to arrive at the proper freight class and this will supersede any classification estimated strictly on density as provided above.
